Mount Rainier
View as we drove along I 90 West
near Ellensburg
Almost There!!!

When we left Missoula, MT we we headed for Deer Park, which is near Spokane, WA.  Here we stayed and relaxed a while, as it was a very nice campground located adjacent to a golf course. The weather was warmer than we previously had but it was still cool at night.  From here we had to back track a little to Liberty Lake to the R & R RV Dealer where we needed to get some coach service. We were in a Flying J for fuel and had trouble starting the engine.  Turned out to be a loose wire in the rear engine compartment.  People in R & R were very helpful and we even had electical hookup overnight for the coach.
Moving along on I 90 we headed for Ellenburg, WA and all of a sudden Mt Rainier was peeking at us.  As the people of Washington say, "The mountain is out today!"  We actually stopped in Ellensburg to spend a day enjoying the mighty Columbia River.  There were some
great look outs to pull off on as we crossed the river.
There were two Dams in the area as well and we managed to tour one of them the
Wanapum Dam.   In the other direction was the Priest Rapids Dam.   These are privately operated dams.  The picture above is from the outside.
We timed this right as a tour was scheduled and quite a tour it was.  The facility is in  the process of being upgraded with new technology.  We were taken underground as well which is the picture below.
As you can see this LATE ADDITION came out quite late due to a very hectic schedule.  I was going to include Seattle in this addition but changed my mind.  Therefore the next addition will include our visit with Juanita and Bob and family, which is always an adventure plus our trip to the Olympic Peninsula and lastly our adventures with MONICO.  In the process we had a nice visit with friends Dan and Leanne and later with Henry and Ann.  You know what, it is almost  RALLY TIME again and we will be heading for Elephant Butte, NM again very soon.
