The next few stops started with the extreme North East corner of Texas,  Texarkana.   Yes, half of this city is in Texas and the other half is in Arkansas.  In the above picture, Bob is standing in Texas and I am standing in Arkansas.  The building behind us is the US Post Office, with the state lines going right down the middle.  This PO has two zip codes.

The next stop was Tyler, TX  somewhere between Dallas, Waco  and Houston.  This is a city we wouldn't mind spending more time in. It is nicely laid out,  attractive  neighborhoods,  things to do,  and a nice comfortable feel to it.   We visited the Tyler Rose Gardens and Rose Museum.  Each October this city hosts the Annual Texas Rose Festival complete with a Rose Queen.  This year is the 74th Festival.   It is here that major research is done developing different types of roses and growing roses is a major industry in the surrounding area.  Unfortunately this was not peak season for
the blooms, which  is in late April and early  October.  We will just have to go back!

Our next and last stop before Boerne, TX  was Waco, TX.  We have been in Waco before, as well as in this RV park.  The Memorial Day Weekend is coming up so we will stay here until Tuesday, when we will take the last jump to Boerne.  Thus the June Newsletter will mostly  tell the story of our visit with Kevin and Brenda.   We also hope to see our friends, Ed and Kay and Pat and Diane.
Picture to the right is our Smith Family!!!
Look for us next month with more
exciting stories!!!
Happy Anniversary to Kevin and Brenda!!!
